Francklyn Project

The Francklyn Project, located on an elevated property in Halifax’s South End, replaced deteriorated entrance steps and landing with an updated, durable entryway. Techo-Bloc’s Borealis wall and stair system establishes a structured approach to the home, while Stone Arch Flint front steps and York stairs by Techo-Bloc provide material contrast and long-term performance. Grading and construction resolved elevation changes and stability concerns, supported by integrated elements such as the egress window well. An award-winning lighting system enhances safety after dark, with new tree plantings and low-profile softscape elements that complete a well-integrated landscape across all levels of the property.
